The Imagine Durban Demonstration Project Fund is requesting proposals for a School Sustainability Project. The selected school will receive R70,000 to implement their project plans. All schools in eThekwini are eligible to apply.

Imagine Durban is looking for a school to implement one or more environmental sustainability initiatives, demonstrate an eagerness to incorporate sustainable development issues into the classroom, thoroughly engage learners in the green campus project(s), and act as a model for other schools in the region.

The winning proposal will show that the school can accomplish multiple initiatives, will include learners in the process to a high degree, and a willingness to become an ambassador for green campus initiatives throughout the municipality. In order to be considered, project proposals must be received by Monday 9 February 2009.
