The image “http://www.standuptakeactionaolun.com/images/stories/mge.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Stand Up Take Action has launched a campaign to plant 100 million trees globally over the next few months to support environmental sustainability.

It is said that the average person utilizes the oxygen from 16 trees to survive his/her lifespan. We therefore invite every human being to see this as their opportunity to offer these trees back to mother nature, by participating in the worlds’ largest tree planting effort. Globally we will plant and nurture 100 million trees. This action is to be performed between 15th July to 16th October 2008, and every planting is to be recorded and documented.

WHY PLANT TREES

  • To reduce global warming
  • To have a clean & green environment
  • To protect the environment
  • To protect biodiversity
  • To promote global cooling
  • To reduce pollution

Imagine the 'new' beachfront with lots of indigenous trees and native bird species (instead of alien mynahs and pigeons and sparrows) instead of a forest of cctv camera masts as proposed!
