Imagine Durban held their fifth open forum called “Beyond the Eskom
Crisis” at the Lecture Theater, eThekwini Municipality Electricity
Training Centre on February, 25 2008. The speakers for the event were
Jessica Rich from the eThekwini Environmental Dept. and Mr. D. Naidoo
from the eThekwini Electricity Dept.

The Imagine Durban project invites you to an Imagine Durban Open
Forum on “Beyond the Eskom Crisis - rethinking the Energy Issue”. The
Open Forum seminar will kick off with an overview from the eThekwini
Electricity Department regarding approaches to Demand Side Management
that will reduce our total need for Energy. This will be followed by an
outline of the potential of various alternative energy solutions for
Durban that will be presented by eThekwini’s Environmental Management
Department. As always, the presentations will be followed by open
discussion on the issues.
