Vumani still has a few limited places for late registrations.

They are facilitating a free, two-day workshops on how to grow vegetables organically. Members of interested organizations or groups are invited to participate and share their experiences.  The Theme for these Workshops is “Learn with Us”.

Vumani's intention is to support local networking and to develop a shared strategy to build working relationships that will support each other further to improve individual practices based on shared learning and experiences.

They request that those attending go out and share the knowledge and skills gained with others from their organizations and groups, initiating a process of enhancing urban food security across many fronts – at schools, at community gardens and at a household level.

Vumani are willing to act as a resource group, tol help with problems and difficulties that may be encountered when participants start to grow their own vegetables, especially in regards to how we can all work together to shift urban farming towards economic enablement.

The first workshop is on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th March, 9 for 9.30a.m. to 16.00.
Venue: eThembeni Methodist Church C 215 Inanda Township.

The Facilitators are Lawrence Mkhaliphi from Biowatch and Neville Meyer and Coral Vinsen from Vumani Urban Renewal Programme.
