Summary

Imagine Durban is a Council-led project on integrated, long-term planning. Culture and Heritage

For the initiative 'Buy local arts and crafts' I would like to add that crafters need to be educated in design and trends so not everything they produce is the same.

Theme 5
Instilling environmental awareness at a younger age e.g. school level is important that is where my passion lies. Educating children to care for the environment using available resorces like manure to establish vegetable gardens and plant trees.

Would like to know more about instilling environmental awareness to school children and where to get resources like trees and seedlings.

Theme 4: How can we get school kids to
participate in the arts and culture?
and away from boredem which results
in drug and alcohol abuse. Get more
of these students to tap into there
creative minds and away from peer preasure. We need to get schools involved in bigger projects and get
the students that get involved more noticed.

Great work - but can we also be child friendly?

It is very exciting to be looking into the future in such a proactive way. How we plan and meet the needs of our children will determine the future of our city. Let's also be a child friendly city!
