How does the competition work?
This is a five month long competition which has three stages:
- November 2009: Participating businesses will measure their electricity consumption and through that process identify the best interventions the business could make to reduce its electricity use.
- December 2009 to February 2010: Participating businesses will implement their electricity reduction interventions.
- March 2010: Participating businesses will measure their electricity consumption to work out the amount of electricity they have saved.
For each stage of the competition participants will complete a simple form summarising the activities of the businesses in the reporting period. To join the competition participants must complete and return the entry form on or before the 31st October 2009.
